hi
i’ve realised an optical transmission with coherent detection ofdm and 4QAM
but when I change the QAM to 16,32,64, to see the difference between the value of their BER i always get a BER = 1
please which parameter should i modify to get a better BER ?
thank you
Sara,
this is a research point it is not such simple question.
You can try with the parameters that affect the system performance such as the 2nd and 3rd order dispersion, and nonlinearities SPM, and higher orders.
if you do it carefully I am sure you will get better results and understand the trend.
Hope that helps,
Mohamed Abouseif
thank you so much
please i have another question,
i’ve realised a transmission co-ofdm with 4qam and as results , for 30Gbits the value of the Q factor is 6.37e12 and BER = 0
and when i change the bits rate to 35Gbits/s, the value of the Q factor became 27.84 and BER 3.2e-4
are these values correct ?
thank you
