Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi all,
I’m trying to study the BER value after the application of LDPC FEC scheme in A FSO link, but, for some i’m always getting the value of BER close to 0.5 which is not acceptable. I have feeling it has something to do with “Sequence length for BER per iteration” value in BER test set. I’ve attached the osd file below. Any sort of help would be really appreciated.
Dear Prakhar,
I’ve checked the example (Direct Detection OFDM 4 QAM over FSO with LDPC.osd) as shown in the attached image. It is working fine. Let me know if you have any other question.
Regards,
Ahmad
Hello sir,
Thank you, sir, for your reply. However, I wanted to know whether the layout I attached earlier was correct or not. Every time I simulated the layout, it gave BER close to 0.5. So, I wanted to know what changes I can make in the BER test set to lower the BER.
Thanks and regards
