BER CALCULATION OVER PSK & QAM

hi everyone..

i want to simulate MIMO FSO Comm with QPSK, 16 & 64 QAM for my thesis.
here i faced some problems.

1. should i use BER Analyzer or BER Test Set ?
i do understand how to use BER Analyzer but only under RZ & NRZ ( OOK modulation ) scheme. i have no idea how to use it under PSK and QAM since these modulation scheme are quite more complex. and then, how to use BER Test Set ?

2. Can i simulate the MIMO combining in optisystem?
there are selection combining, equal gain, etc. and the only combining method i can simulate is SUM, with power combiner.

Good day,

You should definitely use the BER Test Set for mPSK and mQAM. Please read the help for the component for details on how to set up the test set.

For the MIMO simulation I recommend using our MATLAB component as you can easily setup the number of input and outputs. Also inside the component (MATLAB m-file) you can setup individual channel gains and so on. Cheers.
