Can anyone explain what is the difference between bandpass filter with any other filter and what does it do?
Which bandpass filter is the most suitable to use in power over fiber system design (in downlink transmitter & uplink receiver)?

typically, BPF is used to filter part of the signal centered at the BFP’s center frequency with a specific bandwidth. in Optical communication, it is used for selecting part of the transmitted optical signal or filter the ASE noise from it. OptiSystem has a wide selection of BPFs, which you may choose. they differs in their shape which affected the filtered signal.
