Hi
I want to ask you how can I calculate or see ASE( amplified spontaneous emission) in fiber optic amp. in duped fiber amp we can see the ASE in project browser whit click to for example Er doped fiber details but the ASE power always is ZERo.
Thank you)
Dear Pouria,
You should be able to view the generated ASE in the EDF.
Please check the example (Amplifier Characteristics.osd) at the following location C:UsersUSER NAMEDocumentsOptiSystem 20.0 SamplesOptical amplifiersEDFA models and analysis.
you may email me the project that has the issue as a ZIP file and I would check it. My email is ahmad.atieh@optiwave.com
Regards,
Ahmad
