i wish to ask if i could use an ADD module provided in the library instead of a circulator?
you can refer to the figure mentioned in the link below..
hi aaabid,
since in optisystem the FBG is not birectional. hence we can not form the ADD/ drop module as of your reffered figure. i think optiwave should view this in the next versions.
however for simulation purposes you can add ADD module of optisystem library instead.

Thanks for the suggestion asif. I had tried it but the performance gets degraded to a very low level. Actually am doing my project work for intrusion detection . I can’t afford my performances to go below a set level. I want some module which could act as a circulator. I am working to do it with Matlab now.
