please let me know in optisystem simulation while using powers couplers,splitters,combiners,forks etc is it necessary to change loss from 0(default value) to 3dB(real systems)????

For simulation purpose it’s ok to use default values of components. Once you have obtained good results then you can realize the real system performance by using commercialy available component values.
