The only way to have imported would have been through the mask import which should have work. What error do you get when it does not work?
Please note the 32bit version of the product is a much older version of the product and no longer supported. Within the 64bit version you can import GDSII, DXF, as well as IGES file formats. A 30-day evaluation is available.
