While the performance of the “Ideal MUX” is EXACTLY the same as the power combiner of OS14 according to dear Philip, one of Optiwave research scientists, unless we have a problem with the name of ideal MUX, I believe we can use them interchangeably. This is why I actually started this topic… to make sure if that was OK.
