I have run the osd file you have uploaded (with optical fibers) and the simulation went smoothly. The Q-factor obtained is about 7.5 which is quite good. And besides, Nothing seems to be wrong with the whole configuration of the system. Is this the simulation design with the problem you have mentioned?
