Hi Gherbi,
Normalization of the digital data is done by considering some threshold for the amplitude of the data and deciding based on this threshold. If the signal has a greater value than the amplitude, then it is considered as ‘1’ and otherwise, it is considered as ‘0’. For M-ary signals, the number of thresholds are higher than one.
