I am quite new to optiwave software. I want to design an optical bandpass filter in terahetz range (~0.3THz – 3THz) and use it in an optical communication system in optisystem software to analyse the system performance. What software should I use to design the filter and how can I generate terahertz frequency in optisystem?

Dear Cy,
you can double click on any component in OptiSystem to access its parameters popup window. There is Filters Library in OptiSystem located at Default/Filters Library/
Once you choose the type of the filter, you set its specs as required.

Thank you for your response. I have tried changing the frequency of optical filters but the frequency cannot be set to 1 THz. Is there a way to set it to 1THz frequency?

The optical components such as CW laser, Butterworth Optical Filter etc., has frequencies starting only from 30 THz. What setup I need to do or code I need to change to use 1 THz frequency for the optical components?
