Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

How can I implement geometric and probabilstic shaping in a coherent optical system using optisystem17. Are there functionalities possible in optisystem?
Dear Zahid,
Currently, OptiSystem doesn’t support probabilistic shaping. However, you may use the Matlab component in OptiSystem to add your code to shape the transmitted pulse.
Examples on how to use the Matlab component are found at the following link.

We are in process of adding this feature in the coming main release 18.0.
