The S-Parameters provides a relationship between the input and output signals at all of the ports for your structure. The ports are identified as the ports you create in the design. You can find a full write up on their derivation and use in the “Technical Background” in the help document that came installed in your product. Open OptiFDTD, click on help->help topics and from the web page that opens select “Technical Background”.
