      Hello
What should be done to get an error in fbg sensors relative to wavelength change? The results of one of the sensors are attached in the photo and wavelength changes are written. How to get the error value. What relationship should be used to calculate the accuracy and resolution of strain sensors?
      thank you for your attention

      Hello Mehdi,
I guess you mean by error the shift of the FBG center wavelength with respect to change in the temp or strain from a reference case. You need to subtract the shift from the a reference value (ex. temp at 25C or 0 strain). The subtraction can be done after the calculation or you may use scripting feature of OptiSystem to do that once you write the script in the project.
      regards,
      Ahmad

      Hi Mr. Ahmad,
for exp in temp= -25 and without strain, shift wavelength is 1544.293163 and reference wavelength(Bragg(central) wavelength) is 1545 nm.
and for strain sensor temp is 25 and strain is 0.0002, shift wavelength is 1548.241488 and reference wavelength(Bragg(central) wavelength) is 1548 nm.
how can I calculate that ERROR?? pls, explain thanks.

      Hello,
The wavelength shift due to either temperature variation or strain can be calculated using formulas that can be found in the datasheet of the component in OptiSystem. You may access the datasheet by double clicking on the component and choosing Help.
      regards,
      Ahmad
