Hello,
OptiFiber software provides you with information on the physical characteristics of the fiber itself, which you may download as text files and load them to the fiber component in OptiSystem. This information includes wavelength dependent loss, dispersion, effective area, refractive index, PMD, etc…
This will allow you to simulation optical transmission over the fiber you’ve designed.
