Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

OptiSystem Tutorials Vol. 2 mentions “Constraints” and “Advanced” tabs while setting up a MPO Optimization but I couldn’t find those tabs in my OptiSystem. I use an evaluation version of OptiSystem 15.2.0.
Here’s a figure of my MPO Optimization configuration screen.
Hello Eduardo,
you may access the optimization popup window once you select calculate. Choose Optimization tap, then click on MPO and select insert (you may double click on it to have the same effect). The advanced and parameters can be set in this window.
There are some examples in the example library that can used as a reference for your project on optimization. one of them can be found at the link below.
