Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hello,
I am designing a fiber laser setup in Optisystem.
I am using a ytterbium fiber and I wanna upload a cross section file specific for ytterbium.
My file is a “.dat” file, but it seems that it is not working. When running the simulation, the output is the same as the input, which means that the fiber is not working. I tried to transform the “.dat” file into “.txt” file, but it is not working too.
How can I fix this problem?
Please answer me as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Ebraheem
Hi Ebraheem,
you can send us the program with .dat file to try it with you.
thanks
