Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

I am using LPF at the receiver terminal in 2.5 Gbit/s FSO link. Can someone please tell me what should be the cutoff frequency of LPF? In some example it is 0.75*Symbol rate and in some examples it is 0.75* bitrate. I am using NRZ and DPSK modulation schemes. The Q factor varies greatly if i change from symbol rate to bitrate
Thanks in advance…
Satinder,
I think it is a design issue. you would go with the value that gives high Q-factor of your system!
thanks
Mohamed
