Hi Every one Hope you all are fine.My question is that when N<1 the dispersion is dominant then what type of soliton should we get? I calculate N and the N value is 0.8 or 0.9 the what we name that soliton? kindly reply me.

      Hi Abu Bakar,
what do u mean by type of soliton? it is just soliton. what N you mean?

as explained in rp-photonics website “A higher-order soliton is a soliton pulse the energy of which is higher than that of a fundamental soliton by a factor which is the square of an integer number (i.e. 4, 9, 16, etc.). ”

      hope this helps,
      thanks

N means the order of soliton. and type means name e.g When N=1 it is called fundamental soliton and if N>1 then this is called higher order soliton and when N<1 what should we called? that is my question.
