Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Can someone please tell me why is my design not showing the output. I think the problem is with the bidirectional splitter I have used. I need to implement it in order to work further in the field. Attaching it below. Regards.
My design has run after I have replaced the n*1 bidirectional splitter with wdm mux-demux in the design. Have not got the desired output yet +but better than nothing. Will somebody please tell me how to implement it properly and why has the bidirectional splitter not worked. Attaching the new work. Regards.
Hi Arpita,
At a first glance it seems like you have not set the laser frequencies in your business, residential and school mall sub systems. Once I changed them to 1310, 1330, 1350 nm the example with mux-demux design seems to work correctly. The issue with the bidirectional splitter needs further investigation however you should be able to complete your design with the fix I suggested.
Hello Cem,
Thanks a ton for the reply. I’ll seek to your suggestion and let you know the results soon.
Regards.
