      i have downloaded a file of optisys from forum ,but an error is occuring ” failed to open the file from storage” kindly tell me the solution.

      You are using an older version of OptiSystem, currently we are at OptiSystem 14 and many of the files on the forum are created with OptiSystem 13 or greater, so you won’t be able to open them.

      Damian is correct, this is a common problem for the new users of optisystem. Generally in optisystem forum ,most of participants use latest version of the software and post simulation files. However, you cannot run advance version file in older one. If you facing problem that you have no access to new version or it is expired. Then you can extend license by contacting optiwave or ask for screen shot of the file , so as you will be able to make it in your version.

      I personally look forward for some solution regarding this, As most of us are from the universities across the globe and it take time to pass a software upgrade bill as previous version works for most of the cases.
