      Hello.
Faced with a problem that often occurs in optical systems users. Recently I upgraded the RAM on your laptop (8 GB). And still pursues this problem. Installed 14 version of the program. Who can help with this issue?

Attach your project file, it could be that the simulation is not set up correctly.

      Hello Viktor Usov,
What error your are facing. Please elaborate. For running Optisystem there is not much need of RAM. Even you can run Optisystem 14 on 2 GB computer. If your system has 8 GB RAM, This is more than Sufficient. I think your error is not with the RAM as I also upgraded recently RAM to 8 GB. Need more explanation from your side if possible screenshot to resolve the issue. Thanking you.

      Regards,
      Dhiman

      Hi Aasif Bashir,

Ya that is what i had mentioned in my previous comment… Optisystem works fine with 2GB ram… But of course if the Ram is larger your simulation time will no doubt be reduced…

      Regards

Yes, even I am not clear what exactly is the error. Is it that after upgrading your RAM to 8Gb , your optisystem software is not running?
In that case, you should try re-installing ; or contact optisystem support.

      Best Wishes

Try to re-download the setup file from optiwave site and the try to install, I think the problem is with your Operating system.

      Regards,
      Dhiman

      Hi,
I also agree that the size of RAM doesn’t create problems in simulation in case of optisystem.
Optisystem software is not so bulky one.
I think you have some problem in your design.
      Seeking your response.

      Hi Ranjeet,

I agree that the size of RAM is not at all an issue in simulation in optisystem. I also think there might be some problem in the design… But lets wait for the response..

      Hi Sahil Singh,

I have seen optisystem run on laptops which have Ram as low as 1GB and it worked fine.. So I also rule out this possibility that it may be the cause of an error…
      Thanks and Regards

      Hi Ankita Sharma,

Well i completely agree with your point that optisystem runs on laptops which have lesser RAM so it should not be an issue at all..

      Regards
      Sahil Singh
