Hello,
Can anyone guide me about OSNR margin and Minimum required OSNR.
Thanks
Hi Yasir,
I have heard of different values as the minimum required OSNR (16dB, 22dB,…), but I believe the minimum required OSNR highly depends on the schemes used in the system, the bit rate and the signal modulation format. It is best you try changing the power and see how the OSNR and the results change for your system. You can use Sweep iterations capability for your purpose.

hi yasir,
these links may help you.

Hello yasir.
I am attaching a link of an ieee paper which would give you a brief idea about the OSNR margin itself. please find it below.

And in case you want to increase OSNR , you may increase the symbol rate in the simulation layout parameters. Just double the symbol rate , keeping the bit rate half of the symbol rate.
