      Hi all,
Is there any Optical filter component which can be used for suppressing Optical carrier in Optisystem. If there is, then can anyone give an Idea how to configure its parameters.

      Hi Gokul,

Optical filters are available at the OptiSystem filters library and many of them like gaussian optical filter are easy to configure. However, if you provide more information, I’d be able to help more. In the meanwhile, you can have a look at OptiSystem OFDM samples to see how filters are used (although not for carrier suppression) as I think you are still working on OFDM.

Thank you alistu for your reply.
Yes I am trying to gain some knowledge on OFDM.
I am trying to implement the paper attached here which is based on Beat interference cancellation receiver.

Thank you for the information. I think you might be able to use a rectangular filter for your purpose. The configuration is fairly easy: You just need to set your information signal center frequency as the center frequency of the filter and set the bandwidth according to you requirement.
