Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

How can I generate the attached signal…
with Regards
Hi Dhiman,
You can generate the signal by using Sine generator in the transmitters library in electrical components section. In the sine generator properties, you can set the values of frequency and amplitude as the arbitrary values you want them to have. You can also set a value for the phase there.

Thank you alistu, can I use root() function in properties/amplitude?
You’re welcome Dhiman. I don’t think use of the aforementioned is possible. However I’m not sure about it (I tested the use of “root” and “sqrt” in script mode and syntax error was given). But you can calculate the amplitude separately and then set the amplitude value as the calculation result.
Thanks a lot..
With regards..
