I am trying to create a TDMA design by using two Dynamic Y Select on Optisystem, but without success (the scenario attached).
Can anyone help me ?Thanks.

Hello triton,
There are many ways to make TDMA. You can use time-delays for this purpose as there are many examples on Time Divison Multiple access. Optical time division multiplexing is a great area of research. Please mention your objectives and attach the system file you have made. From the screenshot it looks like you are trying to make passive optical network because i found this setup or component in a bi-directional passive optical network example given by optiwave optisystem. You can check the samples in which there is an example of OTDM using RZ modulation format and if you are trying to make WDM/TDM PON then please attach the reference paper you are using. Here i have given link of some papers regarding OTDM and WDM/TDM PON.

Hi Triton,
I agree with Sam Sung that there might be multiple ways to answer the question you are asking. Please, review the links given above (and may be define the purpose of your assignment) and try to be more specific with your question!

Thank you guys,
I am trying to create an TDM Upstream Design like in this attached paper page 37-40. -

Hello Triton
I have seen the file you have attached. This is basically on the TDM /WDM PON with capacity enhancement and the number of user too.You can easily implement this setup in optisystem with the correct understanding of WDM concept and PON. You can use circulators and AWG for this purpose. At the down stream side you can use a transmitter for upstream by considering different wavelength for each channel. It depends how much channels you are using.Rest you can concentrate on the file you have attached as author explained it very clearly and beautifully.I would recommend you to first try to make it as in file, rest if you will face any problem then forum member help you surely.

I have attached TDM.osd, please give a look and tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Your switches have very long time constants. They are 50 ns while your bits are 0.1 ns, it seems like your switches are taking almost the entire simulation time to completely switch.

Hello Triton Meka
Completely agree with Damian. You set the switching time by setting the following parameters
Bit rate
Sequence length you are considering
TimeSlot
You can check this is BPON example as they set the values of each dynamic switch by dividing sequence length/8(no. of signals for upstream) and setting the values of delays.
