Please, I want to ask about the observation area monitor in the OptiFDTD 32 and how to use it in recording the electric field with time.
It tells me in the simulation the following sentence “writing in the report file” but I can’t find this file!!
I can’t find the explanation of this recording tab at the user reference.
Can you help me please?
The data file (FDA) should be found in the same folder as the project file and it should ask you if you would like to view the output with FDTD Analyzer. We are phasing out support for OptiFDTD 32 bit so this might be harder to answer. The recording tab allows you to record a movie of the field as a function of time. The movie file should also appear in the same directory as the project file.
Are you using the export data function?
Regards
I did export data but the video or the recording didn’t appear.
Hi Ahmad,
The video recording function is not available in the 32 bit version, but you should be getting a .fda file. Sorry about the misinformation. Could you attach your project file? I can see if when I run the simulation the data is saved for me.
Regards
