Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hello,
Is there faraday rotator and mirror components in optisystem? If so,where can I find them? I am new to optisystem software and I can’t find them in component library. I am trying to set up self-seeded RSOA but I can not find faraday rotator mirror component. I have seen some examples on RSOAs but not self-seeded RSOAs. Is anyone have example of self-seeded RSOA design?
Regards
There is a mirror component called “Reflector Bidirectional” in OptiSystem. You can search for it using find component feature.
Ahmad thank you for your reply. I found the component. Is this component provides reflections from both facets?Do you have an example of the usage of this component?
It is a bidirectional device, which means you can use it in both directions.
It should be easily tested using a CW source and a power meter.
Thank you Ahmad
