      Dear All;

      I am working in the attached project and I would like to know how to connect the Fabry–P´erot Laser component as shown in the picture in Optisystem.

      There is an optical circulator component that you could use to couple in the light. I think I need a little more information, but you could use a simple CW Laser component to model it. Is this similar to a master-slave laser setup?

      Dear Damian;

      thanx for reply, the Fabry–P´erot Laser is used here for injection locking purpose, the Fabry–P´erot Laser hase three port one electrical input and two optical ports but as shown in the system attached there is just optical port??

        Ah ok,

        One of the optical ports for the Fabry Perot laser is an input port for injection mode locking. So you could use an electrical bias to power the FP Laser then an input from the circulator to drive it. Finally routing the output back through the circulator. I would need a little more info about the diagram to say anymore though.

      The Fabry–P´erot Laser is used here to get a clear optical carrier from the intensity modulated laser, and the modulate this optical carrier again. this scheme for bidirectional communication link.
