I guess, I understand now.
The frequency in the jitter component has to do with intermodulation, which it will mix the bitrate frequency and the jitter frequency and create side band to the fundamental signal.

But I was more interested in the equation that the electronic jitter component was using to inject jitter to the systmem by the optiwave software rather than how to measure the jitter from the signal. I would like to know the reference paper that might explain the equation more throughly.
