    Yes, we have different licensing configurations (node-locked, floating). Floating licenses are sold with a USB licensing key.

    Ex. If you purchase a 1-user floating license, then only 1 client on your network can use the software at any given time. If you require 5 simultaneous clients, you need to purchase a 5-user floating license. There is however, no limitation on the # clients that can install the software.

    The trial period is attached to the computer (rather than the account). So if your friend installed an OptiSystem trial previously on your computer, then you will not be able to run the evaluation.

    Your best bet at this point is to find a different computer to run the trial license.

    The price listed by the other forum member is not accurate (as it depends on several factors). Also, we have several purchasing options (lease/perpetual, standalone/network, etc.) that all affect the overall price. You would need to contact us via email in order to receive a formal quotation.
