Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Excuse me, everyone.
In OptiSystem 14, how to set the dispersion parameter or GVD(Group Velocity Dispersion) of an Er-Doped-Fiber?
I saw the example osd files provided by the OptiSystem 14, such as Ring Laser in Fiber Lasers and amplifiers, but can’t find how to consider the dispersion of Er-Doped-Fiber in a ring-fiber laser. At the same time, for component “Yb Doped Fiber”, dispersion parameter can be input in its properties. So, how about the “Er Doped Fiber” ?
Can anybody help me?
Best regards,
Jiahao
