i am requesting to dear researchers please to help me regarding getting answers to some queries as follows
I have to use 50km SMF link in my simulation with 1km span of DCF.For this purpose when i use the equation “L1D1+L2D2=0″….and change the values from optical fiber properties to get the desired link yielding zero dispersion.
i want to know
1))))in this equation,how can i divide the optical link 50+1=51km link according to SMF and DCF into 50km and 1km respectively as in optisystem there is no such provision?
2)))in above equation,D1 is simply dispersion and D2 is dispersion slope?am i right or not?
3)))if i am 1548nm wavelength,how can i say or find that it is zero dispersion wavelength???
