Optiwave software can be used in different industries and applications, including Fiber Optic Communication, Sensing, Pharma/Bio, Military & Satcom, Test & Measurement, Fundamental Research, Solar Panels, Components / Devices, etc..
OptiOmega is a collection of products specialized for photonic integrated circuit simulation. It automates the design flow for
generating compact models from device level simulations. The software package includes two solvers that can be used via
Python scripting: Vector Finite Difference (VFD) Mode Solver and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Electromagnetic Solvers.

Hi,
I am evaluating OptiSystem, and I downloaded 14.1 for 30 days free evaluation. At the beginning I am very positive about this software that I have built some models for simulation. However, later I started having a lot troubles connecting wires between subsystems! Because my system is quite big, I have to use a lot subsystems. But many time the wires between them just gone, and I cannot reconnect them, even after I reopen the software, it just doesn’t work! I’ve even tried restart my computer or install it on a new computer. I struggled some time and finally to be able to reconnect them and run simulation, however, when I safe it and reopen the software the problem came back!
I am very frustrated with this issue. I have seen some other people reporting this problem on this forum. It seems like it isn’t solved. Right now I am asking myself if I should waste more time on this… If this problem still exists, this software is just not usable at all. I am sorry if my words are too hard, but I am really frustrated on this…
