Hello Taban,
You can have different kinds of index profiles for the MM EDF in addition to step index. You can control alpha in the parabolic index profile as well as load your external index profile. However, you must have the same format as explained in the component data sheet and shown in the attached image. Please refer to component data sheet for more information.
