Thanks for reply. Well i think you just cleared it to me at least. Actually i was thinking to compare performance of my system using conventional amplifiers and these reflective semiconductor optical amplifiers in future but as you mentioned the performance is not that good so i drop the plan here.But as you rightly said cost effectiveness can be proved using them.
