I presume that shortening the sequence length would only reduce the simulation time but in doing that we may have to compromise the accuracy of the system design. As i mentioned above that what matters most at the end is the system performance. Rarely you would be asked about the simulation time though its important too. But yeah i agree with you there is a compromise between accuracy of results and simulation time.
